Roberta Goldfarb lives and works between São Paulo and Lisbon, where she develops practices
artistic that, through the collection and cataloguing of objects, gestures, times, and traces of
experiences, investigate processes of permanence, transformation, and passage. Your
The work brings together different languages and materials in the construction of works that articulate
memory, experience, and sensitive perception and has been present in institutions and spaces
cultural events in Brazil, Portugal and Spain.

This selection of works centers on the house as a symbol of welcome, belonging and
return, crossed by the experience of immigration and by my Jewish tradition. I investigate the tension
between protection and confinement: the house it houses can also imprison. Starting from
historical events, the work brings together collective and intimate experiences, expanding
investigation into imprisonment and freedom. Photography, sculpture, performance and sound become
means to reflect on vulnerability, survival, and the desire to return home
