Collective Exhibition
São Paulo, Brasil
25/02/2026 - 25/03/2026
Aurora,
In the meantime I divide you, still shy,
Inexperienced of the lights you are going to turn on
and of the goods that you will share with all men
.
Carlos Drummond de Andrade, “The Night Dissolves Men”, 1940
Before the sun comes up, the sky clears timidly. The dense blue of the night is tinged with violet and a pinkish hue creeps through the clouds. What was previously barely seen begins to appear, suddenly manifested in
full clarity.
The image of the morning break inspires this exhibition, which celebrates the arrival of five new names to the cast of artists represented by Dan Galeria: Gabriel Villas-Bôas, Laura Mello de Mattos, Lucia Castanho, Paulo Otávio and Senk.
From photography to painting, from sculpture to graffiti, the media used by these artists are as different as their languages. They belong to different generations and are guided by unique processes, but they seek something in common: to produce a consistent, cohesive work
of great formal refinement.
May the clarity of this Aurora reveal the poetry of Gabriel Villas-Bôas, Laura Mello de Mattos, Lucia Castanho, Paulo Otávio and Senk. May this first meeting with the public be repeated every day.
