Votorantim, Brazil
16/07/2022 - 09/10/2022

Saturday, July 16, opens at Dan Galeria Interior, the exhibition “I Went On a Trip”, solo by Elizabeth Dorazio curated by Magnólia Costa.

The artist from Minas Gerais studied Visual Arts at Fundação Escola Guignard, in Belo Horizonte, and art history with Rodrigo Naves, one of the leading Brazilian art teachers and critics. He later studied at the Abendschule, Staedelschule, in Germany. Dorazio works between Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany, exploring diverse cultures and popular techniques.

The exhibition is curated by Magnólia Costa and takes its name from the series of works created from drawings made with ballpoint pen and landscape collages. According to the curator, “Elizabeth Dorazio chooses images at random, extracts them from the original context with cutouts of almost surgical precision, and moves them to supports where they are arranged in landscapes similar to the real, but inexplicable.”

Starting this Saturday, visit the exhibition at Dan Galeria Interior, located at Avenida Ireno da Silva Venâncio, 199, in Votorantim. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (visits scheduled by phone/whatsapp (015) 99761-8907).
