One of the most important artists of the Young British Artists generation, which emerged in the late 1980s, Ian Davenport (London, 1966), will have his first solo show in Brazil starting on May 23, at Dan Galeria. The exhibition brings together 18 works from 1992 to 2015, including the unprecedented Colourade: Buzz, created especially for the exhibition. They are works that cover the different phases and questions of the artist, such as the chromatic relations, the lines in sequence and the series of arcs and circles on aluminum and steel, from the 1990s. In his most recent works, the difference is in the sequences of vertical lines stained at the edges by puddles (“puddles”).
