The exhibition “Amilcar de Castro: a thought about space” is on show at the Goodman Gallery, in London, in partnership with DAN GALERIA.
The exhibition traces Amilcar de Castro’s contributions to abstraction, minimalism and various forms of concrete art through the use of materials and a refined perception of the relationship between space, object, volume and mass.
The Brazilian artist was a sculptor, engraver, designer, layout designer, set designer, professor, and is considered one of the greatest artists in Brazil. He was one of the leaders of the neo-concrete movement, and was a signatory of the Neo-Concrete Manifesto along with artists such as Lygia Pape, Lygia Clark, Franz Weissman, and others.
Visit the exhibition at the Goodman Gallery until March 5. The space is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 11am to 4pm, London time.
